Jinadasa Guruge, Head of Guruge Gems, Kahawatta International Gem Trade Company has passed away today (06).
Mr. Jinadasa Guruge is considered as a pioneer in taking the local gem industry to the international arena.
Guruge was 86 years old when he died at a private hospital in Colombo.
He is a father of seven children.
His last rites will be performed tomorrow (07).
