Reports say that A military coup has happened in the African country Guinea.
Even though an unconfirmed video of the army seizing power is being exchanged, foreign sources say the true status of Guinean President Alpha Conde, who is surrounded by soldiers, has not been confirmed.
However, an army soldier appeared on national television saying that they had arrested the President and that they would dissolve the government.
Beu the defense ministry said that the attempt to seize power had been thwarted by presidential security officials.
That was after hours of heavy gunfire near the Presidential Palace in the capital, Conakry.
