In keeping with the vision of engaging with the community, Sri Lanka Embassy in Japan concluded a Mobile Consular Service in Kyoto located approx. 600 km away from Tokyo on Saturday, 28 August 2021.
The mobile service helped over 200 Sri Lankan expatriates with driving license, passport renewals, birth registrations, affidavits, power of attorney attestations and certification of true copies etc.
Ambassador of Sri Lanka to Japan Sanjiv Gunasekara spent two days in the Kansai area and met the Head Priests and the Administration Staff of five temples (including 3 heritage sites) that have a longstanding friendly relationship with Sri Lanka. Ambassador Gunasekara also met Kyoto area Assemblymen, Non-Profit Organizations, prospective Japanese Investors and discussed investment opportunities as well as how to improve friendly relations between Sri Lanka and Japan.
