More than 60,000 arrested for violating Quarantine Curfew

Police have so far arrested 61,006 people for violating the quarantine curfew.

The Police Media Spokesman’s Office stated that 718 persons have been arrested in the last 24 hours alone ending at 6.00 am today.

During that time, 73 vehicles used by the arrested persons were also taken into police custody.

According to the Police Media Spokesman’s Office, there are currently 13 roadblock checkpoints covering the entry and exit points of the Western Province. The Police Media Spokesman’s Office further stated that 733 vehicles and 1153 persons were searched at those locations during the past 24 hours.
