YouTube says it has removed more than a million videos containing “misinformation about the dangerous corona virus” since the beginning of the Covid-19 epidemic.

YouTube has come under fire from political leaders for failing to stop the spread of false and harmful misinformation about the virus and other topics.

According to a YouTube blog post, the move was made “with the consent of experts from health organizations, including US Centers for Disease Control and the World Health Organization.” However, it is also suggested that the “limit of misinformation” may not be clear, as in some cases new facts may be incorrect.

YouTube says it has removed more than a million videos related to corona virus information such as Fake treatment of covid or claiming to be fraudulent since February 2020.
