Dr. Ayanthi Karunaratne, Director of Tertiary Services, Ministry of Health said that 26173 Covid patients who were treated at home have been cured so far.
Meanwhile, the number of covid patients receiving treatment at home today (24) is 9606, the doctor said.
The number of patients admitted to the hospital so far after worsening their illness is 370 and it is only 1.4 percent of the patients treated at home, she said.
The director also said that 900 doctors are ready to advise the patients over the phone who are receiving treatment at home.
