Cabinet approval has been granted to import 6,000 metric tons of rice as a solution to the current shortage of rice in the market.The rice is to be imported under the Pakistan-Sri Lanka Free Trade Agreement.
The Minister of Trade has submitted a proposal to the Cabinet in this regard.
