A group of journalists inquired from the Minister of Environment yesterday (15) about the decisions taken by the government as a member of the ministerial subcommittee appointed on teachers’ salary issues.

The Minister who addressed the media said that – The ministerial subcommittee appointed by the government on the issue of teachers’ salaries discussed at the ministerial level in the last few days and obtained all the necessary information, and studied them. We also met some teacher associations also. Several other associations will finally meet and discuss next Tuesday and Wednesday. After that, we will also discuss with the Minister of Finance and other officials of the Ministry of Finance and submit the report to the Cabinet next week with the recommendations of the Ministry of Finance and Sub Committee.

In this way we protect the dignity of the teachers and provide them with the environment they need to teach with a positive attitude. Various proposals were made by the teachers’ unions. But given the current situation in the country, we have difficulties in making certain decisions. However, the government will take all possible steps to do justice to the demands of teachers, Minister said.
