Patients with diabetes must take both doses of Cvovid, said Uditha Bulugahapitiya, an endocrinologist at the Colombo National Hospital.
Specialist Dr. Bulugahapitiya also said that patients at high risk for diabetes should be cautious as they are at high risk of contracting Covid.
He also said that diabetes patients need to continue exercising if they are already exercising.
Specialist Dr. Uditha Bulugahapitiya said that if a diabetes patient is infected with the Covid virus, he should take anti-diabetic drugs, rest in bed and eat a good diet.
