Police have launched an investigation into a mother who was diagnosed with the Covid 19 virus and fled the Kegalle hospital with her 6-month-old baby.
A 30 year old woman from Galigamuwa has escaped from the hospital with her baby. After she arrived at the hospital with the baby to be treated for the flu, a PCR test was doneon suspicion of symptoms and confirmed that both were infected with COVID.
According to the police, she had taken her child with her when she was admitted to a ward for residential treatment.
