The government is introducing a controlled price for COVID tests conducted by private hospitals and treatment centers.
Health Minister Pavithra Wanniarachchi says that the relevant gazette notification will be issued tomorrow announcing these fees.
Accordingly, the maximum fee for a PCR test is Rs. 6,500 and Rs. 2,000 / maximum fee for a rapid antibody test.
