Lasantha Alagiyawanna, Minister of State for Consumer Protection has stated that private gas companies have decided to seek the advice of the Attorney General regarding the deactivation of their supply chain.
The Minister of State also stated that this crisis has been created due to the prevention of import of gas by the gas companies as a result of not allowing the companies to increase the price of gas.
