Softlogic Life, Sri Lanka’s fastest growing life insurer, was recently named one of the Best Large Workplaces in Asia for 2021, confirming its indelible reputation as a world-class employer.

The victory also marks Softlogic Life’s fifth year as a Great Place to Work, a feat only a few organizations in the country have accomplished. This is a clear testament to the company’s caliber as an exceptional employer, as well as its deep commitment to valuing employee growth, happiness, and well-being.

This year, over 3.3 million employees from 16 Asian and Middle Eastern countries were polled to determine the Best WorkplacesTM in the region, resulting in the largest collection of employee experiences in Asia.

“We are honored to have been recognized among Asia’s best workplaces as a young, fully-homegrown company, and particularly with the unique working dynamics introduced by the COVID-19 pandemic still in play. For many years, our strategy has been very simple. We have always put our employees’ personal and professional growth first, which we believe is the best kind of motivation to allow us to do what we do best. Our team continues to achieve incredible growth and results even during these unprecedented times, only because it is a performance powered by employee passion and trust fostered in a vibrant and inclusive work environment. This is our employees’ endorsement of the many years we have spent in building this incredible performance-led culture. Whilst we are honored, we humbly believe that this is only the beginning of a great journey,” remarked Softlogic Life Managing Director Iftikar Ahamed.

Great Place to Work identifies over half a million employees in Asia and the Middle East and they were surveyed about the key factors that create great workplaces for everyone; trust, innovation, company values, and leadership were assessed as well as employee perceptions of their workplaces.

The COVID-19 pandemic sparked a rapid evolution of Softlogic Life’s business model. Despite all of these challenges, the company has continued to focus on career development, succession planning, leadership and talent development, and maintain a stringent and world-class learning intervention within the company.
