The Kuliyapitiya Magistrate’s Court today remanded a suspect until the 17th of this month arrested for assaulting and spitting at a public health inspector who had gone to the house of a Covid patient in the Koskoladeniya area in Giriulla.
The suspect was arrested by the Giriulla Police. The police stated that the suspect had been drunk at the time.
According to information received that there was a Covid patient in the house where the suspect was staying and he spat at the public health inspectors of the Naramwala Medical Officer of Health’s office when PHI went to the house yesterday in search of information.
