The number of people infected with the Covid 19 virus identified in this country has exceeded 300,000 today.
That’s after 1380 Covid infections were reported today. Accordingly, the total number of Covid infections identified in the country so far is 301272.
Jayaratne Ranasinghe, 52, a resident of the Colombo District and a tour guide, is reported to be the first Covid patient in the country. That was on March 9, 2020.
Although more than 300,000 people have been diagnosed with the Covid virus since then, but less than 25,000 are being treated in hospitals.
