The Hotel Employees Headquarters of the ‘Center of the Inter-Company Employees’ Union says that the government is requested to prepare a program to revive the hotel industry which has collapsed due to the Covid disaster which has been going on for about two years.

Janaka Adhikari, Attorney-at-Law, Chairman of the Hotel Employees’ Center, said that for these two years, the employees who had worked in hotels had lost their jobs, received half of their monthly salary and their economic situation had completely collapsed.

Therefore, a massive protest will be held in front of the Ministry of Tourism in Colombo Fort tomorrow (26) at 1 pm with the participation of hotel workers demanding a solution to the problems of hotel workers, said Attorney-at-Law Janaka Adhikari.
