The Director-General of Health Services, Dr. Asela Gunawardena has issued an instruction leaflet further relaxing the existing travel restrictions from today, authorizing activities related to several fields, including concerts in halls.
Accordingly, religious places will be allowed to remain open with effect from today and health guidelines for religious ceremonies will be issued separately.
Zoos, wildlife parks, children’s parks, lodges and boarding houses, betting centers are also allowed to open in accordance with health guidelines.
Permission to hold concerts in halls is given subject to restrictions.
But outdoor music shows and carnivals are no longer allowed.
