The Secretary to the President, Dr. Nandika Sanath Kumara, has informed all state institutions today (10) that prior written approval from the Presidential Office must be obtained before publishing the President’s photographs or messages.
In his notice, the Secretary to the President emphasized that any activities carried out using government funds must align with the government’s policies and vision.
He further stated that before displaying the President’s photograph or messages on commemorative plaques or special ceremonial publications for various events, written approval from the Presidential Office must be secured.
The Secretary has also instructed that when organizing activities funded by the government, they must be in accordance with the government’s policy and vision.
This directive has been sent in writing to all ministry secretaries, provincial chief secretaries, department heads, heads of statutory bodies, and heads of government-owned companies by the Secretary to the President, as reported by the President’s Media Division.
