The Deputy General Manager (Transport) of the Railway Department, N.J. Indipolage, stated that from today (09) until the 15th, train services on the upcountry railway line will be limited to running from Colombo Fort to Ella station.
This limitation is due to the filming of a joint Indo-Sri Lanka cinema project.
The movie is being filmed on the iconic Nine Arches Bridge, located between Ella and Demodara on the upcountry railway line.
As a result, during the hours of 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM, trains from Colombo will only operate up to the Ella railway station.
