China has decided to donate another 1.6 million doses of Sinopharm COVID-19 vaccine to Sri Lanka.
The Chinese Embassy in Colombo said the consignment would be delivered in the next few weeks.
Accordingly, it will be the largest vaccine donation in the country this month.
The Chinese embassy further stated that the vaccine will be given to further expedite the vaccination process in Sri Lanka.
“We will always remember the support we received from Sri Lanka when China was in trouble,” the Chinese embassy said in a statement, along with two friendly photos.
