UNP Deputy Leader Ruwan Wijewardena says that Mr. Ranil Wickramasinghe will not contest the next general election.
He claims that Mr. Wickramasinghe will not enter the parliament even from the national list.
Addressing a press conference held this afternoon, Wijewardena said that Mr. Wickramasinghe has invited the Samagi Jana Balawega to compete collectively in the upcoming elections.
However, the Samagi Jana Balawega has rejected it.
