After being sworn in as the ninth Executive President, President Anura Kumara Dissanayake held a special discussion with the three military commanders, the Chief of Defense Staff and the Acting Inspector General of Police at the Presidential Secretariat this morning (23).
There, the President expressed his thanks to the police and the army for taking action to ensure the security of the country without allowing any incident during the election period.
Sources said that the President has emphasized not to allow any acts of violence in this journey to create a new political culture.
