As of 10:30 AM today, based on the official election results released so far for the Presidential Election, it appears that Samagi Jana Balawegaya’s candidate, Sajith Premadasa, is rapidly closing in on the lead.
However, the National People’s Power candidate, Anura Kumara Dissanayake, is still in the lead with the highest number of votes.
Here are the complete official election results released by the Election Commission so far:
- Anura Dissanayake – 1,631,832 votes (42.73%)
- Sajith Premadasa – 1,165,375 votes (30.52%)
- Ranil Wickremesinghe – 623,655 votes (16.33%)
- Ariyanenthiran Packiyaselvam – 169,251 votes (4.43%)
- Namal Rajapaksa – 97,890 votes (2.56%)
