Anusha Pelpita has been appointed as the Secretary to the Ministry of Economic Policy and Plan Implementation.
Prior to this, he was the Secretary to the Ministry of Industries. He later sent a letter to President Gotabhaya Rajapaksa urging him to retire. He was later appointed as the Chairman of the Development Lotteries Board.
He has previously served in a number of government agencies, including the post of Director General of Government Information and the Director-General of the Telecommunications Regulatory Commission.
