Mr. Anura Kumara Dissanayake, the leader of the National People’s Power, signed the candidate nomination papers today for the upcoming presidential election.
It was at the Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna’s main office today (12) in the morning.
Several national executive members including Dr. Nihal Abeysinghe, General Secretary of National People’s Liberation Front, Tilvin Silva, General Secretary of Janata Vimukthi Peramuna also participated in this event.
The presidential election will be held on September 21.
After signing the nomination paper, Mr. Anura Kumara Dissanayake emphasized that the National People’s Power is ready to face the country’s crises and lead it to prosperity.
“The national people’s force is ready to accept the challenge of rescuing our people and our country from this crisis. Therefore, this signature we are putting today can definitely be a signature of victory.” He declared.
