Ilankei Tamil Arasukachchi has decided to field a Tamil common candidate for the presidential election.
But Mr. MA Sumanthiran, Jaffna District Member of Parliament of Ilankei Tamil Arasu Katchi Party, says that he does not support that decision.
The member emphasized that a presidential candidate should not represent only one population segment.
