The officials of the Ministry of Finance have been summoned before the Election Commission tomorrow (17).
This call has been made to discuss with officials about getting money and related matters.
The Ministry of Finance had earlier announced that 10 billion rupees had been set aside for the presidential election.
A spokesperson of the Ministry of Finance stated that money can be issued whenever money is requested for presidential election expenses.
Meanwhile, the Election Commission has the power to announce the date of the presidential election after midnight today (16).
Chairman of the Election Commission Mr. RMAL Ratnayake said that the date of the presidential election will be announced before the end of this month.
