Sri Lanka Divisional Secretaries and Assistant Divisional Secretaries Association says that it will withdraw from all duties related to the ‘Aswasuma’ program from today (8).
It is due to many problems including census of housing information and payment to officials regarding the selection of beneficiaries in relation to the applications of the second phase of the ‘Awaswesuma’ welfare benefit payment scheme.
The union has sent a letter to the Chairman of the Welfare Benefits Board that they are resorting to this professional action.
