Minister Prasanna Ranatunga, the chief organizer of the ruling party, added that if the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna nominates another candidate except the current president, for the presidential election, the party will split into two.
He also mentioned that if another candidate from the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna is nominated for the presidential election, it will not be possible to win.
Accordingly, the minister further claims that support should be given to President Ranil Wickramasinghe in the upcoming presidential election.
