The Terrorist Investigation Division (TID) has arrested a terrorist suspect who fled to Qatar in 2019 while looking to make an arrest in connection with an attempt to reorganize the LTTE organization.
The suspect, identified as Pakyakule Naguleshwaran, 41, is a resident of Trincomalee. After he fled to Qatar in 2019, Interpol issued a blue notice against him and he was deported from that country, said Police Media Spokesman Senior DIG Attorney Ajith Rohana.
He was taken to the Mullaivaikkal Quarantine Center for quarantine and was arrested yesterday after 14 days of quarantine, the Terrorism Investigation Division said.
