The second review of the Extended Fund Facility (EFF) by the Executive Board of the International Monetary Fund is scheduled to take place today (12).
Minister of State for Finance Mr. Shehan Semasinghe points out that it is an important milestone for the progress of Sri Lanka’s economy.
The Minister of State notes that we trust our international partners will continue to support Sri Lanka’s efforts.
He also said that he will be given the opportunity to release the expected 3rd installment of 335 million US dollars.
This will further increase confidence in the country’s economic reform program and growth.
Sri Lanka is in the final stages of finalizing debt restructuring agreements with the continued support of bilateral partners.
