The Constitutional Council says that they will consider today (10) the recommendation given by the President to give a 6-month extension of service to Attorney General Sanjay Rajaratnam.
For that, the Constitutional Council is scheduled to meet under the chairmanship of the Speaker.
Speaker Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena said that necessary steps have been taken for several legal clarifications related to it.
Attorney General Sanjay Rajaratnam is scheduled to retire on the 26th.
