Principals continue to step down from Online Duties

Although quarantine teachers’ union leaders and social activists have been released, principals say they will leave their online duties until other issues are resolved.

All members of associations belonging to Ceylon Professional Principals Association, Principals Professionals Association, Sri Lanka National Principals Association, Ceylon Principals Association, All Ceylon Grade Principals Association, Southern Province Principals Association, Independent Grade Principals Association, Central Provincial Professional Grade Principals Association The unions have informed the Secretary of Education in a letter.

The union says that all principals across the country are resigning from their online duties in protest because of public harassment of trade union leaders, no provision for online education, failure to eliminate salary anomalies that have existed for 24 years recruitment of teachers and principals by casual means in violation of the service minutes etc..
