The Supreme Court today gave former Minister of State Mrs. Diana Gamage time to decide whether or not to continue the petition filed against the decision taken by Samagi Jana Balawegaya to revoke her party membership.
Will the petition be maintained after studying the judgment given by the Supreme Court regarding Mrs. Diana Gamage? The Supreme Court has given this opportunity after considering a request made by the President’s lawyer Mr. Faizer Mustapha, who represented Mrs. Diana Gamage, to decide whether to withdraw.
Accordingly, the petition was ordered to be called on July 7th to notify the relevant decision.
The petition was called before a Supreme Court bench consisting of Supreme Court Justices Gamini Amarasekara, Kumuduni Wickramasinghe and Mahinda Samayawardena.
