Sri Lankan rugby players win the Asian Division 1 championship

The Sri Lanka Rugby team won the Asian Rugby Championship in the first division organized by the Asian Rugby Union after easily defeating the Kazakhstan Rugby Team.

The Sri Lankan rugby players won the championship after defeating Kazakhstan 45-7 in the match held at the Colombo Reid Avenue Sports Complex last night.

Kazakhstan, Qatar, India, and Sri Lanka qualified for this tournament. An international rugby tournament was held in this country after 12 years.

Kazakhstan defeated Qatar 33-31 in the first round, and Sri Lanka defeated India 45-10 to qualify for the finals.

Qatar retained its third place after defeating India 34-25 in the third-place match.
