The Joint Committee of Government Executive Officers has decided to engage in professional action tomorrow (02) and the next day (03).

It was done by reporting sick leave in protest of the lack of solutions to professional problems, including salary disparities.

At the same time, the association says that a campaign will be held in Colombo tomorrow.

The Joint Committee of Government Executive Officers alleges that the government has so far failed to provide solutions to the professional problems that have affected about 18,000 executive officers belonging to the state’s islandwide services and parallel departmental services.

The union said that the executive officers of the government have already withdrawn from all the district and regional coordination activities and the meetings called by the politicians have also been boycotted.v
