The Director General of Health Services confirmed today that there were 40 deaths due to the covid 19 virus infection yesterday.
11 women and 29 men were among the dead.
A statement issued by the Government Information Department stated that 28 deaths over the age of 60 were among them.
With these deaths, the total death toll rose to 3391.
