Police Media Spokesman Senior DIG Ajith Rohana stated that 31 persons were arrested for violating the quarantine law for protesting against the Kotelawala Defense University Act by a number of organizations led by the Frontline Socialist Party near the Polduwa roundabout in Battaramulla today.
Among them are two monks and two women, said Ajith Rohana. Among those arrested was Joseph Stalin of the Ceylon Teachers Union.
