The showery condition over the South-western part (Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central and Southern provinces) of the island and the windy condition over the island and the surrounding sea areas are likely to enhance during the next few days (particularly on 09th and 10th).
Showers or thundershowers will occur at times in Western, Sabaragamuwa, North-Western, Southern and Central provinces. Fairly heavy showers above 75 mm can be expected at some places.
Showers or thundershowers may occur at a few places in Uva and Eastern provinces and in Mullaitivu district during the evening or night.
General public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
