According to the Ministry of Health, another 1300 doctors will be assigned to government hospitals next March.
Health Secretary Dr. Palitha Mahipala mentioned that they are currently finishing their internship.
Appointments have been given to 590 doctors who completed their internship last week.
The secretary also said that they had been assigned to government hospitals that were vacant now.
Accordingly, the secretary stated that there will be solutions to the medical shortage in the future.
