China Continues to Expand Visa Concessions

China says that China’s relaxed policy on visas reflects the quality development and wider openness of the diplomatic level.

Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Mr. Wang Wenbin said this at the regular press conference held today (31).

Recently, China signed an agreement with Singapore and Thailand regarding visa-free travel.

Commenting on this, Mr. Wang Wenbin said that China has signed visa-free agreements with 157 countries for various passports.

China has submitted visa facilitation agreements or related arrangements to 44 countries.

He also said that 23 countries including Thailand, Singapore, Maldives and the United Arab Emirates have been made completely visa-free.

The United Nations World Tourism Organization has also indicated that China’s visa-free policy will be beneficial to the revival of the global tourism industry.
