It has planned to hand over the report containing the recommendations related to the restructuring of the Railway Department to the President’s Secretary next week.
Mr. K. D. S. Ruwanchandra, the Secretary of the Ministry of Ports, Navigation and Aviation, stated that the related report has already been prepared.
The chairman of the committee says that the proposals to increase the efficiency of the railway department and reduce the loss have been included in this report.
He said that this report has included suggestions regarding providing attractive service to the people from the Railway Department.
