President Ranil Wickramasinghe has instructed the Ministry of Public Administration, Home Affairs, Provincial Councils and Local Government to minimize the expenses of the 76th National Independence Day celebration on February 4.
Secretary of the Ministry Pradeep Yasaratne mentioned that all activities of the celebration are done through government agencies.
According to this, plans are being prepared to celebrate the Independence Day while minimizing the expenses, the Ministry Secretary said.
