The trade association of Nuwara Eliya Economic Center says that it will take another 04 months for the price of vegetables to decrease.
Aruna Shantha, its president, said that even if there are slight decreases compared to each day, there will not be an immediate decrease in the price of vegetables as a whole.
Accordingly, he said, the price of vegetables will increase till the end of April.
He stated that in order for the price to come down, the new crop must come to the market, and that too will take considerable time.
