The Ministry of Education of the Central Province has taken steps to transfer 51 school teachers in the Central Province to other schools, who conducted tutoring classes by charging money to the students of their school class.
This action has been taken against the concerned teachers due to the violation of the circular issued earlier in this regard. It is reported that a special raiding unit has also been established on the instructions of the Central Provincial Education Secretary Mr. Menaka Herath to raid the places where teachers conduct classes in violation of this circular.
Accordingly, it is stated that as soon as information is received about the places where such classes are held, a team of the raiding unit will be sent and a formal investigation will be carried out. With this step, the Ministry of Education has taken steps to transfer the teachers who violated the circular to other schools.
