The government has decided to establish a Sri Lanka High Commission in Wellington, New Zealand.
It is with the aim of further developing the existing diplomatic relations between New Zealand and Sri Lanka.
The Cabinet of Ministers has approved the proposal presented by the Minister of Foreign Affairs to act accordingly.
A significant number of Sri Lankans are engaged in employment and further education in New Zealand.
