The Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority states that the number of foreign tourists who have come to Sri Lanka in the month of December 2023 is 210,352.
It is the month in which the largest number of tourists came to Sri Lanka last year (2023).
Tourism Minister Mr. Harin Fernando had said that in the past 4 years, the highest number of tourists came to Sri Lanka in a single month was recorded in last December.
Accordingly, the total number of foreign tourists who came to Sri Lanka in 2023 is 1,487,303.
It is also special that it has come close to the government’s original target of 15 lakhs this year.
