Mr. Gemunu Wijeratne, President of the Ceylon Private Bus Owners’ Association, says that despite the increase in fuel prices, bus fares will not be revised.
He said this while addressing a press conference held this afternoon (01).
Speaking there, Mr. Wijeratne said that despite the government’s revision of fuel prices, there will be no increase in bus fares.
He said that there is no legal provision to raise bus fares based on the percentage of fuel price increase this time.
In the fuel revision implemented from today, a liter of auto diesel has been increased by 29 rupees and a liter of super diesel has been increased by 41 rupees.
