Director of Matara Hospital Dr. Upali Karunaratne says that the condition of the 16 inmates of Matara Prison who were hospitalized with brain fever is turning out to be good.
In the last 22 days, eight detainees were first taken to hospital, and one of them died.
The next day, nine more detainees were brought to the hospital.
03 of these people were admitted to the intensive care unit.
Hospital director Dr. Upali Karunaratne said that their condition is improving now.
