The owner of Mama’s Fish Point, located in front of the Weligama petrol station on New Galle Road, was shot by two people on a motorcycle last night.
Police say that while the owner was standing in front of the store, he was shot by the motorcyclist who came near it.
Nuwan Kumara (42), a resident of Denipitiya Polvatte, and the shop worker Mahinda Gunathilaka (52) were also shot and hospitalized.
The police suspect that this shooting is the result of an underworld conflict.
